"Know before you go," they say. As with any trip, it's good to be prepared. Here's what to expect, to help you prepare for your flight.
- Advance purchase is required for all flights and is non-refundable. Once purchased, tickets cannot be refunded or rescheduled, as your space has been guaranteed for that particular flight.
- Our flights run rain or shine. Restaurants don't close due to inclement weather, and neither do we. In the rare event we are forced to cancel a flight, ticket holders will be able to reschedule to another flight based on availability.
- Your flight will take off at one restaurant and end at another. Keep this in mind when arranging transportation to your meeting location and from your final stop at the end of the tour. If you choose to drive, most restaurants have metered and/or street parking available. Allow time for parking as well as replenishing meters and be mindful that there are alcoholic beverages on our flights. Please do not drink and drive.
- Each flight lasts approximately 3 hours and makes stops at 3 restaurants. Please arrive 15 minutes before flight start so we can begin on time.
- Most flights are walking tours, so be sure to dress appropriately.
- Transportation between restaurants is included, where applicable.
- Most restaurants are handicapped accessible, however, some elements within the tour may involve tight, steep stairs, which may preclude some guests from participating in these particular elements.
- Because we tour kitchens, guests must follow the "no touch" rule. We don't want to contaminate food or risk injury from dangerous kitchen implements. We also ask guests to be careful walking through these spaces, as floors are often slippery and/or covered with mats that are easy to trip on. Guests are completely responsible when in these areas.
- All flights include food tastings and one featured beverage pairing per restaurant stop, along with specialty tours and Q&A with the chefs and staff who make it all happen.
- Our tastings constitute a late lunch/early dinner for most. Please let us know of food restrictions in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate your specific needs.
- Restaurants scheduled for each Flight are subject to change based on availability.
- Minimum of 4 guests required for each flight
- Maximum capacity per tour is 20 guests. Special group tours can be arranged by contacting Flight Chicago directly: groups@flightdeckchicago.com.
